Our premium Biochar is produced from dead trees and other wood waste which would otherwise be disposed of in a landfill in a proprietary kiln to produce a premium engineered Biochar with a surface area of 400-500 square meters per gram and which absorbs 5.6 times its weight in water. It also has both anionic & cationic exchange which gives it superior capabilities in binding to nutrients.
Our Biochar is the only US based producer of pure organic Biochar meeting the formal approvals of US EPA, USDA, CEPA (Canada), and OMRI organic, and is the only product formally approved by US EPA for production & release into environment. Studies show BioChar has many positive effects on the soil, including: Increased nutritional value & quality of fruits and vegetables Improved buffering of soil pH and stability Increased diversity of soil bio-organisms Improved and denser root development Reduction of Fertilizer, especially nitrogen and phosphorus, Reducing overall of fertilizer and water requirements by 50%, Reducing nitric oxide emissions by 50-80%.
